These guys really did their homework on getting this app just right! They make it nice and easy for u to download and install. I do wish there was an option to fly by tilt... But maybe that's in the works. Other than that... Great job! THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE!!!

I still remember playing Tyrian on my 486 when I was young - it was by far the best vertical shooter of all time, and as far as I can tell it still is. The game runs gloriously on my iPhone 3GS, and reminds players how truly great some of these old games were. My only complaints (and these are more nitpicks, really) are that the audio seems to be rather low quality, and some of the controls are a bit "iffy." These things could be patched relatively easily though, and should not stop you from buying the game. It's one of the best $2 apps you're going to ever find.

Great port from the original game. Use your finger to move the plane around is nice and simple. Even though i would like it more if it made use of the accelerometer. Best arcade shooter for the iphone so far. Well worth $2.

The update for the right/left issue should be up soon... Otherwise, I LOVE THIS GAME. I wish 'Raptor' was next. :)

This game would be nice if it had all the functionality. This is basically $1.99 for a broken emulator. If you only want to play arcade mode it's great. The story mode is broken, as is every other menu where you need to use a right or left arrow. Changing to a 4 star due to good developer communication

I used to play this game for hours on my pentium PC.
The iPhome port looks and feels exaclty like the original.
Brings up good memories!!!
With all the levels and hidden stuff it is definitely a steal for 2 bucks!!

Shmups. Loved by many. IFighter, Siberian strike, and one more. Tyrian. Tyrian is a shooter with levels and a survival mode. It has a upgrade system for both modes. The controls are, in my opinion, fine. Awesome game!

Wow, I loved Tyrian (and later Tyrian 2000) back in the day. It's an incredible shmup with a lot of depth, thanks to an extensive weapon power-up system. On my 3GS, it plays well, looks great, and brings back fond fond memories. Great port! The only thing more I could ask for would be better (and louder) sound. The music sounds very compressed, making the quality inferior to the original and other iPhone games as well. Otherwise, I could not be happier that one of my favorite PC shmups has made it onto my phone! Thank you!!

I grew up on Tyrian. It was one of my first videogames... And it is still amazing. With the weapons glitch fixed, this game is near flawless. If you played this back on DOS, buy it now. If you are a fan of good old-fashioned shooters, buy this! There is a big incentive for replayability (I have put at least 10 hours into it) and the controls work well with your finger controlling the ship. This is without a doubt one of the funnest games availiable on the app store. I can't recommend it enough!
